Red Hook Pier/Brooklyn Cruise Terminal: Taxi available after cruise?

We'll be overnighting in NYC after our Princess Cruise. Ship departs/returns from Red Hook in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. We'll need transportation back to the City. Are taxi widely available to take, or is a car service recommended, and reliable? Thanks!

There is a wall phone near the restrooms in the terminal that connects to a local car service (free call). You could use this and find out if they will take you into Manhattan and what the cost will be.

Suggest if you do not find other options doing this BEFORE your ship leaves NY.

There is a separate line for yellow taxis at the terminal. Don't know what the wait time is.

Taxis and town cars are plentiful outside the terminal. There is a line for each. You may or may not have to wait, but it won't be long if you do.
