Peso Only

Any recent experiences if Progreso is using the supposed new rule for Peso-only transactions?

Or was USD still just fine?

Day tripper probably won't have any problem. Carry small denominations of US currency and make sure they are in good physical shape. (no tears, ultra-worn, etc)

New rule?

Was there if Feb. and they took us currency just fine no problems....Do get a 10.00 message on the beach while you are there, well worth the money just wished I would have gotten 2 hour message.

How can you stand a 2 hour message. That would seem like forever to me. I would be hoping the person would shut up.

Just got back from a week in the Yucatan. Spent an evening in Progreso, Used a mix of US $ and Mexico Peso's. As usuual had no problem using either at most tourist places anywhere I went. This is the first I have heard of any new rule. dna1990 where did you hear about this?

Just returned...USD$ was fine everywhere.

This was a 'report' from other visitors on both the RCCL and CCL sections, that vendors were unable to take USD$...
