Pre-Cruise: Moorea

I am currently planning my honeymoon and have found some really decent deals on rental properties in Moorea and have been considering just staying in Moorea for the week prior to the cruise. Does anyone think that 1 week is too long in Moorea given the 7-day island hopping I will be doing directly after?

 

Or should I try somewhere else? If so why?
