Starting to make tentative plans for a visit back to Merida in late Oct early Nov. Probably staying at the Caribe partly because of the location. I have modest mobility problem with my hip. I like being in the middle of the historical area. I plan a day trip to Izamal by bus. Looks like an interesting town. Other than that just a peaceful, relaxing 10 days around Merida.

I've been in Merida for the Day of the Dead once and thouroughly enjoyed it. At least one day I'll spend in Progreso.

Maybe take in a concert or other performance at the Contera Teatre or Olimpo. I always take in the Folklorics in the evening. And of course really enjoy the street fairs. Always plan the visit with two weekends.

Hope you'll be in town and we can have a beer or coffee.

PS I will need to buy a phone card. I used to buy the TelmexUSA card online but they no longer offer them.

Also need a new Panama Hat.
