Booking PG tours

We are on the May 18, 2013 Tahiti and Marquesas cruise. When can we book ship tours for the Marquesas- since there seems to be limited availability and I don't want to miss out?

I didn't go on this particular itinerary, but I called in May for an October sailing (5 1/2 months out) and they were very happy to "reserve" my shore excursions for me and I was able to use my on board account to pay for them. Not sure if Marquesas excursions require more time to set up, but I'd call PG; they are extremely helpful and answered many of my questions! And I do agree that certain active excursions have capacity limits, (kayaks, small boat or dive excursions, 4x4s, expert led tours etc) so if you want your choice, I would book before sailing!
