Private Tours In Merida???

We'll be in Progreso/Merida on Feb. 1st from 8 am to 8pm arriving on RCI "Voyager of the Sea." We're in a group of about 20 but I don't know how many would be interested in hiring a private English speaking guide to take us from Progreso to Merida. I would guess we'd probably be a group of 8 or so. At any rate, can any of you recommend a tour guide ... we want to do this even if it's just the two of us. I'd like to make arrangements in advance rather than waiting until we get into port. Thanks very much!

I'll be on the same cruise with you! I have been to the area a few times and my mother actually lives in Merida. We will be on the cruise with a couple that have never been to the area and we plan on going into Merida and meeting up with Mom and giving them a tour of the highlights. If you don't come up with something better, you're welcome to tag along with us :)
