I was there 2 years ago. They're small but neat. It doesn't take long to look at them.

Dzibalchaltun is near Progreso and alot larger than Xcambo.

Progreso doesn't "kinda suck", in my opinion. It's a nice little authentic fishing village with restaurants, local markets, and friendly people. From Progreso you can visit the beautiful city of Merida, many Mayan ruins, or even an all inclusive resort for the day. It certainly isn't Cozumel or Cancun, but a real taste of the yucatan area.Hope you have a ton of fun.

Been there 3 times and have done something different each trip. I would go back tomarrow if Ginger D would let me.

Everyone has their own opinion. I've seen bad reviews on Progreso and never thought that they were justied, and I've seen great reviews on Costa Maya and I thought that they must be talking about another place. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Xcambo is small but still nice to see. You can see it all in an hour or so. Only about 30 minutes from Progeso. Since you are close by and if you have time, I'd recommend it.
