Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are sailing on the Reflection and wonder if anyone has added addition family members to our dinner reservations from a table of 2 to one for 6. Have not had any success online but wondered if the maitre de was available before dinner or if I could make those arrangement at my reservation time. Thanks in advance for any advice!
  2. I saw this first mentioned on a Celebrity Facebook Group. As usual many different opinions and answers and was trying to clarify if anyone had experienced this recently on any cruises. Apparently this is not being charged at this time.
  3. It would not surprise me if this did become a rule, but when someone becomes a no-show at the MDR it should be easy to move diners from the "no reservations" line to fill the spot unlike at the specialties. Also, Celebrity could be happy that you might decide to go to a last minute "pay" restaurant such as Sushi on Five or the Porch that do not require reservations.
  4. Many thanks to all who have replied. Very happy to hear that this fee is for specialties only. I will always notify them when I know I will be missing dinner so that others can be seated without waiting.
  5. There seems to be some controversy about a $10 pp charge for MDR reservations that are not cancelled within 24 hours for no-shows. We have Anytime Dining and have made reservations for most nights in the MDR. I can understand a fee for Specialty restaurants but would be concerned if it applies to the MDR as last minute occurences can cause dinner plans to change. We are sailing on the Reflection. Has anyone had any recent experience with this?
  6. Looking to dine at "The Porch" for dinner and cannot make a reservation for this restaurant. Does The Porch need to be reserved only onboard or do they not take reservations?
  7. Thank you for your response. Sounds like the Beyond will still be in the running!
  8. Considering the Beyond in 2024. Having read this topic I have a question about the noisy cabins. Most appear to be outside cabins, have there also been many reports of inside cabins with the same issues? We have sailed Millenium class and Solstice Class many times and thought we would finally try the Beyond in an inside cabin. I am afraid this issue would be a deal breaker for me if it is a problem.
  9. Recently returned from an NCL seven day cruise with 7 family members. On the last full day my daughter and son-in-law started showing symptoms. Did not go to medical but self-quarantined and masked up to disembark and drive home the next day. Both tested positive upon arriving home. No other family members had any problem in spite of spending time together. We will never know where they were exposed -before embarkation, at embarkation or onboard. Very few masks during the cruise but that is entirely typical now. Both had a few rough days but have recovered now. I am afraid this will now be with us for the future just like flu and norovirus. The best we can do is get boosters and hope to keep it with mild cases. We are certainly exposed to it in our daily lives-stores, restaurants and in the workplace with cruises just one more public space to catch it. Testing in advance really does nothing but show one moment in time. If my family had tested it would have been negative-6 days later positive.
