  1. Thank you. I was assuming that but you know what happens when you assume. I wanted someone to confirm it. So thanks again!
  2. Hi y'all. We're unable to travel the day before the cruise so we're taking a flight that gets us into Miami at 845 am on Sunday, June 9. I plan to get an Uber after getting our luggage. We have the 930 to 10 am arrival at the port for check in. I don't worry about being too early. I just want to make sure it's an easy process to get an Uber at the airport. Is it? After the cruise on the morning of June 15, we will walk off with our own luggage which is usually one of the first groups off. I'll request an Uber then too. Is it easy to get an Uber at the port? I imagine it is because lots of people are looking for rides. Is it? Thanks!
  3. Thanks for that info! I bet it's going to be windy when we're at sea! I'll probably save my relaxing balcony days for port days. 😉 We're in 10209 and you can only book 2 people into that room which is why I question whether or not the sofa converts to a bed. I sure hope it does. Worst case scenario my son can sleep on the couch the way it is. He's almost 16. He's used to couch sleeping. Chair sleeping. Floor sleeping with the dogs. He can sleep just about anywhere.
  4. Thank you! I'm so excited for this room!!!!! I'm not sure how I'll go back to a regular room after this. Wow. Just wow. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks for this. It says Where applicable, additional beds: single sofa bed, or single sofa bed and 1 upper or double sofa bed. I'm guessing we'll have to wait til we're on board to see if it's applicable to our room. We're in 10209. Thanks again. It helps!
  6. Hey y'all. I'm booked in one of these suites in June. The room will only book 2 guests. There is a king size bed or two twin bed option. Does anyone know if the couch is a fold out? The room description doesn't list it and since it only accommodates 2, I would think no. I'm traveling with my son and we'd both like the privacy of separate sleeping areas but that's only if the couch folds out to a bed. Anyone? Thanks!
  7. I wonder if it would be worth it to get an Uber to take me from the ship to Budget? Then return to get my family? OR maybe that would be chaotic as well? I can be one of the earliest off if that makes a difference.
  8. Thank you. I got spoiled by the ease of picking up at an airport. Your response helps me prepare better. Thanks again!
  9. I'm part of Budget's loyalty program and I always get a text an hour or so before I pick up my rental with the spot number where my car is. I never have to go to the counter or speak to anyone. It's get in the car and go. I can only cross my fingers that it works the same way. My credit card is on file with them. I show ID when I leave the lot.
  10. Thank you for this information. There will be 5 of us with 5 bags. I'd love to get us all to the Budget place together to avoid having to go back to the mess of debarkation and people being picked up. We're platinum and staying in a Presidential Suite so we qualify for the earliest walk off with our own luggage. I'll scope it out when we embark to see where the line for rental car shuttles is. Thank you again for the information.
  11. Hey y'all. I've searched for answers but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. We're sailing on the Mardi Gras this summer. I've rented a car on debarkation day thru Budget. Has anyone done this and can walk me through the process? Get off the ship, go through customs, find the shuttle where? Can I take all my luggage with me or do I need to go get the car then return to get the rest of my party with luggage? Thanks!
  12. Thanks! I didn't even think of youtube.
  13. We're traveling to Costa Maya next month and don't want to do an excursion but what's at the pier? Shopping of any kind? Duty free stores? We might want to grab a souvenir or something at the pier but not leave that area. Thanks!
  14. Hi! I've thought about being a travel agent over the years but I don't have a big rolodex (showing my age) of people to call on to be clients. One barrier for me would be starting from nothing and trying to find clients. How do I build clientele? Also, any idea about the volume of sales that's needed to be able to make a living as a travel agent? Would I have to book 100k a month just to eek out a living? Thanks so much!
