Masal Posted November 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2009 One thing we are wondering, do we have to show passports each time we leave ship? Was wondering about how safe we can keep them if this is the case, especially after hearing some of the things in Morocco.

Cymro1953 Posted November 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2009 One tip I found off here on another part of the forum is to scan your details page on to your PC and email it to yourself as an attachment. Then if anything serious did happen to passports and you needed the info you could get them off your email account to help smooth out things with replacements. The only place we ever took them ashore was Egypt as they wanted to see the visa stamped in the back as we went off. Berwyn

Sue Hi Sue, I've got the same in my wallet from last cruise. I know legally they are useless but handy for some form of ID if you're leaving passport on ship Berwyn

rjm1cc Posted November 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 24, 2009 You will probably never need it to get on and off the ship but if for some reason you are in a foreign contry and miss the ship you will need it to get out of the country.

You beat me to it! Agreed, always take it, just in case.....some places insist on it, Russia for instance!
