On another thread on this forum("Bringing Alcohol Onboard"), it was mentioned that you could preregister before your cruise for a "cabin liquor set-up". Is anyone familar with this and know how you go about doing such a thing? Also, how much does it cost?

Never heard of pre-registering a "cabin liquour setup", but you can pre-order your liqour by phoning Ship's 1-800-541-1576. I don't see the liquour packages on HAL's web site, only wine/champagne gift orders, so have no idea how much they are.

Here's a link to the "gift" pdf file that includes beer and spirits. http://www.hollandamerica.com/pdfs/onboard/Gift_Order.pdf

If you are interested in in-cabin wine, here's the wine pdf file.

I believe your referring to only having in your cabin mini-fridge what kind of drinks you want them to stock it with and keep out the stuff you'll never use. I know I just did that on the Princess site for my after-thanksgiving cruise on 11.05 and stated to them that I only wanted particular items left in the fridge when I get on-board... hope it works. But as far as I know, HAL does not offer that option before you board. But once you get in your room, you can have your cabin steward remove for you what you don't want in the fridge. Hope this helps.
