Plan to go to Melia during the day for the beach. You can take a cab there easily. The jitney bus stops right in front of it but I don't know the number. Melia has chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Also snorkeling equipment if you pay the $30.

 

Go to Atlantis at night. Cab is like $5 per person each way. You can get into the lobby for free after 5 pm when the other ships leave. You can also walk through the aquarium for free then ($40 pp during the day). The casino has lovely glass sculptures to see and the place is lit up very pretty. We always do this.

 

You can get conch fritters right by the ship in the pier building. You might be able to get them at Melia restaurants as well. You may not have time to go to fish fry. It is an area of local restaurants.

 

The queens staircase is small and the area is not safe to walk there. You won't have time for everything. And the pictures of this look better then the real thing. I would skip this.

We planned a day during our stop in Nassau unfortunately we got rained out the bch was very good about getting us a refund hopefully we will have the chance to visit again

How is breezes is the beach nice there

I'm a little dissapointed in what just happened yesterday. There was a review for BCH on here and a fairly rave review. I posted my experience there and it has been since deleted. It makes me think the original poster is a fraud or pushes the resort. Below is my experience:

We went to BCH 3 years ago off a cruise ship, got a day pass, had a lovely time. Small beach, small pool, not so many children- quiet, beautiful scenery etc. Before we left the son of a friend of ours went into the hotel bathrooms to change into his clothes. A man approached him to sell pot and the dumb kid took out his wallet to pay the "seller" money and the man took the wallet and ran. I was embarrassed as I had recommended BCH. He was just as embarrassed as we didnt find out until back on ship. We haven't been back since. But we plan on it in December. Just always watch your surroundings and don't do something stupid.
