Port Shopping - Hours?

We'll be in Aruba next month (woo!) on the Valor, and our time in port is 1 - 11. We plan to tax a cab to Eagle Beach for a couple/few hours, then head back to port to do a little shopping/poking around.

How much time should we leave to do that poking around? Do the shops close early? Any advice appreciated, including the best part of Eagle Beach to have the taxi stop at. We want to rent chairs and have bathroom facility available (understanding we may need to purchase drink/etc to use).

Thanks!

Thanks - we'll plan to get back by 5ish. A lot of ports have a "dufry" shop you walk through right outside the terminal - is Aruba set up like that? Just thinking if we wanted to grab a couple of magnets or something on the way back to the ship, if that shop would be open longer (if it exists LOL).

Any feedback from anyone re: Amsterdam Manor vs MVC beach area?
