Resort for a day or other options with a 21 month old?

My husband and I have stayed on both ends of the island about 4 years ago so we have already seen a lot of the sites. We will be here on a cruise in a few weeks with our 21 month old and I'm having a hard time trying to decide what to do. I would love to do Sandals for the day but that's not an option with our son. Are there any resorts that offer day passes that are family friendly or a nice beach close to the port to take our son to? Also, a restaurant that is worth going to close to the port? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
