Tabyana or West beach - less crowded ??

Hello !!

We're still undecided !

Was wondering wich one is less crowded. I know that Tabyana is a private beach intended for cruisers only but I'm thinking that it might be more crowded than the public one (west bay). I'm thinking that Roatan must not be a very touristic island and chances are, majority of the cruisers will book their activities through the cruise.

Am I wrong ?

If we decide to go on West bay, I would book it with captain Van so that I can have access to a chair, public restrooms etc.

Thanks !! :)

We used Victor Bodden tours for $25pp and had a driver for the day. At our request, we went to the Mayan Princess resort for $10pp. We had use of all of their facilities (chairs on the beach, use of a gorgeous pool, etc). This resort is just down the strip from Tabanya, but MUCH less crowded. It is gorgeous there, and in fact, we chose our next cruise just for it's itinerary...going back to Roatan!

I have since corresponded with Rony (his site is listed somewhere here on the board) and he only charges $20pp, so we may use him next time.
