Displaying / storing your souvenir collection

I'm trying to get ideas on how to display and store my souvenirs from all my travels without my house looking like a cluster! I have postcards (hundreds!), magnets, and random trinkets from our travels.

What do you collect and how are you displaying/storing your souvenirs?

A few ideas... Anything flat, like post cards you could scrapbook.

Other items you can display in shadow box frames, which you can get at any craft store. I also saw someone with a shadowbox type coffee table in their living room that they could display stuff under. But you have to be careful how you display so it doesn't look too cluttered!

We have a scrapbook for all of our "flat" stuff like tickets, postcards, etc. We collect many things from our travels, including Hard Rock souvenirs, which we have displayed on 6 large bookcases in our basement.
