Asia airfare

We are going on the Nov. 24 Diamond Princess cruise to Asia. There is an open jaw LAX-beijing-Singapore-LAX for under $900. Not bad compared to the cruise line, even with transfers.

However, I did find a one-way LAX-Beijing ticket for only $358. The problem is that I am having trouble finding a one-way from Singapore to LAX at a decent price.

Any advice on where to look for the best procing on a flight originating from Asia? Any insight will help.

We are also going on this cruise leaving from Florida or LA. I checked some fares from San Francisco, too. I thought it was too early to post on the Boards, but I was happy to see your post.

I want to try to use FF miles if we have enough.

I am having a hard time selecting the correct airlines to get to this cruise from Florida.

If I go from the West coast what would be the best airline or airlines to use?

There is wonderful info on this Board re: transfers and tours, but I need some help to get there or I will have to cancel our cruise.

Please help!

We are on the cruise befor you. So flying into Bangkok and out of Beijing.

We used our United miles but called the star alliance desk.

They were very helpful. We are on Thai air going and Asiana coming home

To Los Angeles. We seem to have better luck using the partner airlines.
