How to book Excursions with child in kids club?

We are going on a 5 day to and my son will be in Circle C while on board. I know they have a "teen tour" that goes off ship while in port. How am I supposed to book an excursion in advance if I dont know what the schedule for camp is until we board? From what I hear the excursion I want to book is a very popular one and sells out occasionally so I want to avoid that happening. I am also looking at outside tour companies that require the tour/excursion be booked and paid for days before the ship sails.

Also if I book it through Carnival and it conflicts with his camp trip can I get refunded?

I would say book your excursion and that's just part of that days camp activity he will miss.

The first day you'll get a schedule for the camp, including excursion info.

The one time we booked the kids on the club excursion it was cancelled due to low numbers.

The excursion was a regularly scheduled excursion ( horseback riding). A counselor chaperones the kids.
