Aloft Hotel near Lax

Has anyone ever stayed here before a cruise? If so, how do you feel about it? Is there a better place to stay close to the airport with a free shuttle that is under $200? Thanks in advance!

Not precruise, but it's a newer property and I like the room design a lot.

UberX to San Pedro will be around $30.

Stay by the port, it's much easier.

Since you're sailing Carnival, look at hotels in Long Beach-

Queen Mary, Hotel Maya are the closest two to port. There are others, ask before you book as some are in horrible areas. In general, be cautious of cheap hotels in the LA area.

Look for posts by Bruin Steve, he has a very good list of Long Beach hotels.

Private transportation will be cheaper than Carnival's shuttle.
