We were on the Wind Surf this past March in the Caribbean. The band in the Main Lounge was a family (Father, Sons, Daughter). They were absolutely wonderful and could play all types of music. We do not remember the name of the band. Does anyone know the name of that band and if they are still on the Wind Surf?

If you like to dance the group in the Compass Rose is excellent. Their name is Rain Duo. We first heard them on our 2011 Caribbean cruise. On our last cruise there were very few people dancing in the main lounge but the Compass Rose was packed. The band in the main lounge was way too loud.

Ditto what Hillskis said. I have heard High Society and Cool Breeze several times, was not impressed at all. Of the two, High Society is better, but both of them lack energy and originality. Vocals are just so-so, but the new lead singer is an improvement. Playlist is very staid --- how many times per cruise do you want to hear "Fly Me To The Moon" or "Beyond The Sea" with heavily accented vocals?

On the other hand, "Rain" (Craig & Nicola) is fantastic. They pack the Compass Rose every night, also play a nice set right before dinner. On our last cruise I requested a Jennifer Paige song called "Crush", was popular in GB several years ago. Nicola had not performed it in several years --- no problemo! She knocked it out of the park! Craig is an amazing guitarist, likes to play tunes by Dire Straits, can do "Sultans of Swing" not for note.

The other duo that has recently appeared on the Star Pride is "One Night Stand". They are also good, great vocals, good arrangements, very versatile. Again, they crowded the (much larger) Compass Rose every night, while "Cool Breeze" struggled to get more than a few customers in the main Lounge.
