Looking for joining excursions anywhere enroute. What is your experience doing a ta. Never been.

The October 26 cruise is a 1-week cruise from Rome to Barcelona. The trans-Atlantic cruise follows on November 2 from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale.

There are roll calls for both cruises on the Roll Call Forum of this site.

Scroll to the top of this page. On the left side you will find the words "Cruise Critic Message Board Forums". Click on that, and you will be taken to a page that lists out all the various forums on Cruise Critic. Scroll down to the Roll Call area, find Holland America, and click on that.

Once in that area, find your ship, click on that, and you will be brought to the list of upcoming cruises.

We have done half a dozen ta's, although none on HAL. We love the relaxing sea days with the freedom to do as we wish. Read the ship's newsletter for each day and choose which activities you want to join. All are optional. You can do as little or as much as you wish. I love being able to read for hours if I want. Decide what you like. It is your vacation.
