Best Time To Cruise Hawaii ??

For those of you who have done the Hawaii Cruise to/from Vancouver, is there a better time to do this cruise (April or September) due to the weather ?

We've done it in September and had beautiful weather. April can be a bit cooler as you leave the mainland but warms up as you get closer to the islands.
