Is there time to do both?

We'll be in Dominica for 9 hours on Dec.7/16 on Serenade of the Seas. Will we have time to do a 4 1/2 hour ship tour that starts at 8:30 AM, and then spend a little time at Salisbury Beach, also through a ship excursion? I understand the bus ride to the beach is 35 minutes one way. There are ship shuttles heading to the beach at 1:00 and 2:00. We leave port at 5:00.

As long as you are on a ship's excursion, the ship has to wait for you. I imagine they will tell you when the last shuttle leaves and you'd better be on it!
