Car park at Abu Dhabi port??

We are starting our cruise in Abu Dhabi. We would like to drive and park our car at the port. We have heard there is free parking there, but can't seem to get any official confirmation. (we don't want to arrive and find the info was false and then have no where to leave the car!!)

Has anyone parked there before and if yes - can we have the info

We were in Abu Dhabi in late November on the X Constellation. We rented a car for the day to go to Dubai. We parked in the lot at the port without charge or incident.
