will773 Posted December 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2011 I did this combo pack through Royal Caribbean. It was called Inner Tubing and Dunns River Falls. It was the highlight of our entire trip, and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again! I don't know if I'm allowed to say it on here, but I just recently found a tour group called Peat Taylor that offers the same tours from Falmouth, but at a lower cost. SOS78 Posted December 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2011 We were in Jamaica in May of 2011. We opted to go "on our own" to the falls. It requires a bus ride and admission into the falls. We arranged to pay for the falls and the bus ride together. I would recommend bringing your own water shoes, otherwise, you will be required to rent them. I would also recommend a waterproof camera. If you opt to bring your own camera that is not waterproof, your guide will offer to keep it for you and keep it dry...he will also expect a tip at the end of the trip. All that said, the Falls were incredible and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
truchattycathy Posted December 10, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2011 I am doing Dunn River Falls and river tubing with Phil Lafayette in three weeks. He has great reviews and even called me personally. The cost from Ocho Rios is about $60 or $65. From Mo' Bay about $90. He also gives you a nice tour. Hope we have a great trip! retired arizona Posted December 12, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Doing this on January 19th out of Falmouth. Using Knowjamaica... picked them because of good reviews here and on tripadvisor. Cost is $45 each plus we pay admission at the falls and at tubing. There are 4 of us going. Sounds like there are good private companies in Jamaica and costs seems about the same for all.
tgLoves2Cruise Posted December 12, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 12, 2011 This wet and wild combo tour allows you to enjoy two of Jamaica's most amazing natural attractions; it's fresh water rivers, and amazing cascading falls. You tour begins with a pick up directly from your cruise ship port or Ocho Rios hotel where our friendly driver/guide will greet you and take you on your wet and wild journey to Dunn's River Falls and later the White Water River Tubing.
