Kaylasmom Posted April 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2004 Where do you book your cruises on the sovereign? I'm trying to find the cheapest possible. First cruise - 2/23/04 - Can't Wait! Renee
kc320 Posted April 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2004 There aren't any more cheap prices. Everybody found out how great the SOS is & now the prices are sky high! I use Cruisequick, but it's all a matter of timing. Cruises in the fall are cheapest, due to the threat of hurricanes. Spring & summer, if you see a good deal grab it. The price for our upcoming cruise has gone up $200 within a couple days of booking. Sovereign Again Halloween on the Serenade

yarlenna Posted April 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2004 We don't love Sovereign because of being cheap or anything like it. Sovereign is a slightly older ship with soul. She had the BEST Champagne bar (as does Majesty). The staterooms are tiny and balconies don't seem to exist. There isn't a lot of one-up-manship on this ship. We take the sea air in public areas and actually meet other cruisers. I cannot speak for why everyone loves Sovereign. She just reminds me of how a cruise used to be. Work like a dog. Live like a pauper. Save all your money. Then Cruise!
TBRay Posted April 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Totally agree about the rates spiking up. As compared to last spring they are about 2X the price. October is looking excellent right now though. Those rates are still holding steady. And yes, Sovereign does have that 'personality' that draws us back again and again. kbt2 Posted April 16, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2004 We used expedia and had a great experience with them. I spoke with an agent directly, instead of trying to do online. We got a great rate for our May cruise, but did book at the beginning of Dec. and when I looked at the prices in our same Cat. after the 1st of the year, the same cabins on same deck had already gone up about 200.00 per PERSON. So I was like, whew! Glad I booked when I did! Facation Fanatic Posted April 16, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Since booking in January, my stateroom class as gone up over $100 PP for my cruise at the end of this month. I would think something in the $250 range right now would be a tremendous bargain as the previous poster has stated, regardless of when she sails.
