Seattle Pier 30

We are renting a car from Thrifty, which we plan to drop downtown just before boarding the ship. I am not sure if it's best to drop everyone else off at the ship first, or all of us take the shuttle from Thrifty to the ship. Anyone with experience doing this?

We are also renting the car leaving the ship, same question, only backwards. ;)

I would probably drop others and luggage at the pier, then return the car. I would think Thrifty would drop you back to the pier, it's a short trip from their downtown location.
