Forestiere Hiking/Walking Trail help needed...

I really want to go hiking while in St Lucia, and the Forestiere Trail looks like it would be perfect. The only problem, is EVERYTHING else!:confused:

I have found zero organized tours that go there.

I can't find specific directions, so I'd be nervous just hoping a Taxi Drivers knows what I'm talking about.

I think I need a permit, but all the websites I've found for the St. Lucia Forest Department are severely outdated...

I can't find any definitive reviews of this trail anywhere...

So, here are my questions:

Has anyone hiked this trail?

How did you get there?

Did you go on a organized tour? (I'd really rather not do this)

Did you need a permit; if so, did you have to get before you arrived?
