likes2travl Posted November 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2014 I just returned from a cruise with Holland America to the Panama Canal with my daughter. We booked the excursion in Curacao ESPECIALLY for the distillery tour. Our tour began at 1 pm and when we were on the bus, the guide didn't mention the distillery in her list of where we were going. When I asked her, she said there was an 'emergency' at the distillery and it closed early. Just wanted to caution cruisers about this.
curacaoqueen Posted November 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2014 I'm sure the emergency is taken care of by now.
NCTribeFan Posted December 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2014 We were there on Thursday. Did an island tour with Natasja (Dushi Taxi). The "tour" of the distillery was a self-guided, short walk through a small building with some historical information. The rest was the tasting area, gift shop, and restrooms. Yes, I bought the 5-pack of the various colors of the original orange flavor ($21). Saw it in a gift shop later and it was priced $35!
Isa65 Posted December 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2014 The distillery is now operating as usual. Sorry your tour there was cancelled, I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day in Curacao.
