twolittlebirds Posted September 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) First off we are cruise newbies! Secondly, we have been married almost 17 years and are planning a vow renewal during our cruise. We have a Eastern Caribbean itinerary, but I have so many questions. Should we do our renewal on ship or off? Personally I was thinking off. What about photos? Pricing seem insane with RC, are there any other options? Can we order a small cake? There will only be 4 of us. Where should we dine the evening of? (we have 2 kids, 10 and 12) Can I wear my dress throughout the ship the day of my renewal? My gown has a corset back... is there anyone that can assist me getting into the dress? Can we go to a club/disco the evening of our event, and in our formal wear? Does any have any tips or suggestions? The information on vow renewals seems so limited - that or I'm not looking in the right area. Thanks so much! dancinman66 Posted September 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Photos on all ships are expensive You can wear formal wear to night club You would need to know someone or from roll call for help with corset unless you bought a package with the full coordinator which could get expensive Talk direct with royal romance. Forget email. I can't help much more than that Congrats on 17 years Sent from my iPhone using Forums
mrstriceasnice Posted September 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Can we order a small cake? There will only be 4 of us. Yes, Royal Carribean has a similar shop to Carnival's where you can preorder a special occasion cake on their website Can I wear my dress throughout the ship the day of my renewal? Who's going to stop you. ;) Enjoy your day! My gown has a corset back... is there anyone that can assist me getting into the dress? My only suggestion would be to ask your cabin steward but prepare for someone else to be able to help you. Can we go to a club/disco the evening of our event, and in our formal wear? Again, who's going to stop you? They are very unlikely to say you are over dressed. :) Anyway it goes, Enjoy your day!
twolittlebirds Posted September 9, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I called their 1-888 # and I must admit they weren't very helpful. She mentioned the only cake I could order was 8", so I'd love to know more about the "shop" where I can pre-order one. Anyone have a link? LOL maybe I'll find some poor soul to lace me up! mrstriceasnice Posted September 9, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Also look at finding out who the Maitre'D is on your ship and email them to see if they can help
