P&O Cruises Drinks Packages and current 2016 pricelist

Hi everyone

Just trying to work out if it's worthwhile getting the drinks package or not on our upcoming cruise.

I am aware that it includes drinks up to $12. Does anyone have the current 2016 prices as I'm aware that cocktails last year were $11.

In some bars some were more than $12. But in others mostly under $12.

Just off Eden and have copies of drink menus at various locations around the ship.

Most drinks will be under the $12 limit, the full package includes coffee as well, whether it works out good for you is going to depend on how much you intend on drinking, for me, I cant justify spending as much on drinks as I did on the cruise ticket itself so I dont get the drinks package and pay as I go being more moderate in my drinking, you can always drink your duty free when you get home at a much cheaper rate and save the extra money for your next cruise.

If you are a beer drinker, it equates to 9 or 10 beers (depending on what type of beer) a day before you are in front. the more upmarket cocktails you need to drink 6.

Just back today off the Aria and even though we like to drink chose not to buy the drink package. Several people we spoke to who had said they were struggling to keep up the pace and had hangovers most days.

We found the value for drinks package depended if you had lots of port days or not. Port days you'd buy on land then maybe a drink on board then bed (depending how big a port day) Sea days a different story you tend to indulge more. Everyone travels differently though.

its 79 bucks a day but the cunning bastards dont include water or ice cream

unless your an alcoholic you might have trouble keeping up the pace

on princess its 60 bucks aday and you get almost anything coffeess water ice cream i used it and was worth it but i doubt if my partner would get value
