viking or avalon for France

Hi, I am considering doing Viking's "Paris & the Heart of Normandy" or "Portraits of Southern France". Also, I believe Avalon has similiar itineraries. Any opinions on comparisons? Between the two different itineraries and the two different cruise lines?

Hello and welcome to Cruise Critic. You would be better asking your question on the River Cruise Forum HERE. You will find a wealth of information on both lines there.

That said, we personally enjoy Viking, and have both cruises already booked (see our "signature" below). Most will tell you that Viking is pretty much average when considering all of the various lines, and while we have only cruised with them once prior to this, we completely enjoyed the experience.
