Can you bring bottled water on board

we brought a case aboard the Navigator. We broke it up and put it in our suitcases. The water aboard is probably better than most bottled water, but we used ours for shore excursions. They were selling water bottles at the disembarkation port and with the mandatory 15% gratuity it worked out to $4.25 a bottle.

What I did was pack the water in a separate duffle bag and leave it with the porters to be delivered to my cabin. That way you won't have to lug it around.

I don't understand why anyone would want to bring a case of water

on a cruise ship. The ships have their own water desalination plants

and that water is probably better than anything you could carry on

with you. What we usually do is bring about 2-3 bottles with us to

carry along on shore excursions. When the bottles are emptied, I

take them to the cafeteria and fill them up again.;) Usually you have

a small fridge in your cabin to store the water, and of course your

cabin steward will keep you well supplied with ice.:)

I can give you my reason, Howard... I have suffered with bladder/kidney infections all my life. Drinking a lot of water is important for my health. You know how some people prefer Pepsi to Coke??? If I have good tasting water, it will make it much easier for me to drink the amount I need. There is also a sodium issue. You'd be surprised how much sodium water such as Avion and even Dansini have compared to other distilled brands. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!:p
