macruisefan Posted March 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2012 Heading out next Sunday on Solstice. For a variety of reasons, we actually are not motivated to get on the ship right away (have some friends we're visiting in Ft. Lauderdale before departing). But, I would very much like to get the luggage off our hands. Any problem with driving by and leaving the bags with the porter mid-morning, even if we're not checking in and boarding until sometime afternoon? It's not like the airlines, where everyone has to get security checked to turn in the bags right? There are three of us sailing, but I thought I would swing by with the bags (and the paperwork of course), and save my traveling companions the hassle. ImpulsivePuppy Posted March 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2012 I think this is doable, when we sailed Solstice last month, we dropped our bags first thing, then went through the boarding process. I don't see why you couldn't drop your bags then come back for the boarding process a few hours later. Shouldn't be a problem at all.
