A New Britannia?

Classiccruiser777,

At the present time, the former Royal Yacht Britannia berthed at Leith in Edinburgh, is likely to be remembered as the last Royal Yacht.

I was involved in a scheme to keep the Yacht sailing for HM The Queen at no cost to the British taxpayer but the scheme, like many others, was vetoed by the British government.

I personally believe that there is a case for a Yacht, especially if it could be provided and run at no cost to the State. If conditions change and a new Yacht was to be built, I would certainly be happy to become involved!

Thank you for your question.

Stephen
