Sonny Goodman Posted April 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Passport will saffice. The passport has your already has your picture. You need NO other ID with a passport. I strongly recommend a passport it is becoming more and more needed. Barbados requires a pssport since March 1 of this year. Originally it also applied to cruise passengers but changed it to eliminate cruise passengers. More and more Caribbean islands are considering the a passport. sbgrace Posted April 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Your passage through immigration will be quicker with a passport. In the 2 ports I've been at (Miami and Pt Canaveral) there's no separate line for passengers with passports, so I guess the speed of the line depends on how many have passports vs birth certificates, plus every other variable you can think of. birdyhunter Posted April 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2004 FYI - Barbados is not requiring passports for cruise passengers just spending the day there. If you are going there for a vacation stay, then you will need one. <MARQUEE>RCL Adventure of the Seas July 4, 2004 </MARQUEE> Till we leave : Carnival Destiny 7/01 Carnival Pride 7/02 Stanley Cup 2004! BaumD Posted April 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2004 It may still be a good idea to take a drivers license even if you have a passport. Some ports require a picture ID to get back onto the pier after visiting an island. I never take my passport off the ship, just a DL.
