beach choice and shopping questions

Hi! We are in Curacao the first week of February 2017 on carnival. We are in port from 1pm-10 or 11pm

We want to go to a close beach for a few hours, thinking pirate bay or blue bay or mambo are these all pretty similar in distance from the port? Hoping for inexpensive cab ride since we will only have a few hours there. We would like a bar/drinks and chairs and umbrella. Also, good or decent snorkeling would be nice and prefer not super rocky if possible!

Also, we would like to do some shopping and walking around. Is there an area to do this where the ship docks? Are there stores/bar/restaurants near the ship? We will have our 8 yr old daughter with us, but thought we could do some shops after the beach. How late are the stores open?

We were hoping there might be a bar close to the ship that we could walk to, and maybe she could hang in kids club while we relaxed for an hour or two but we want to be very close to the ship if we do that.
