annfi Posted June 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Cinque Terra has been on our "to do wish list" for a number of years so we booked the NCL all day excursion from Livorno for $115 pp. Left at 8:15am and returned back at 6pm. They had too many to fit in one bus so we had two buses and two groups of about 20 each with two guides. We felt like we had won the lottery with our guide,Andrea (Italian for Andrew). He is from La Spezia and had a fantastic sense of humor. He entertained us on the entire bus ride from Livorno thru La Spezia to the first village of Manarola. The bus dropped us there. We walked the "lover's lane"along the coast to the next village of Riomaggiore. Then we picked up a boat that took us to Vernazza for a 15 minute stop and then on to Monterosso for 2-1/2 hours. Plenty of time to explore and have lunch. The bus was waiting to take us back to the ship. It was a FANTASTIC day - probably our favorite of the whole trip. Definitely a reasonable price for the tour. We highly recommend it.
lansingisland Posted July 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2008 My family took the Cinque Terre tour on the RCCL Independence in early June. We also had Andrea as our guide and he was great. We enjoyed this excursion very much.
