QM2 Britania cabins doors. Help

I am going this summer in QM2 with my mother who uses a collapsible weelchair. In QE2 we do not use weelchair adapted staterooms as her weelchair can go through the normal cabin doors, and inside cabins she can move easily if there is a shower in the batroom.

As we are 3, in QM2 they have no low category Britania staterooms for 3 people and weelchair adapted.

So, I would like to know how large are normal staterroms in QM2.

Before we go in the Grand Princess and I know tha doors are very narrow and it is imposible to pass with a weelchair but, at least, Princess has triple staterooms weelchair adapted.

Could some QM2 passenger take mesures of their stateroom's door?

Thanks ofr your help, as Cunard does not provide such data.

Hello Normandie-BCN

To answer your question about cabin size.

An In-hull balcony cabin, Category B1 to B7 is 248 square feet.

Standard Oceanview cabin (port hole and no balcony), Category C1 to C4 is 194 square feet.

An inside cabin, Category D1 to D6 is also 194 square feet.

I personally think that the cabin space in a regular cabin, whether it is for two or three (I have been in both), is too limited in space for a wheel chair to be used comfortably and safely.

Also, the showers in all these rooms is quite small and has no lighting within the shower.

The cabin door size is 28 inches wide at the most.

Hope this information is of some help to you.

Happy sailing whatever you choose.

Smiles, :)

Maria
