La Speiza to Florence

We are docking in La Speiza and want to go to Florence. I saw that the train is easy from Livonia. Is it just as easy from La Speiza? Or is it better to arrange a car/tour?

We are doing the same cruise a week later. Decided it seemed like a lot of hassle to get from ship to train. Have booked a transportation only and hoping we will fill up the remaining spots. There really are fewer reviews from La Spezia than Livorno.

We are doing a tour from La Spezia to Florence with Rome Private Excursions, we haven't used them but their rating with Trip Advisor is excellent. I will let everyone know about them after our cruise.

In La Spezia you take a bus from the ship, then a tram to station. Also most trains have a change in Piza. That's why we choose a private excursion. It will actually be faster.
