My extended family of 9 (ages 5 to 82) stayed at Barcino 147 in Barcelona in June two days pre cruise. The B&B is in an apartment building which was initially a little hard to find but was centrally located to Las Ramblas etc. The owner Ferran and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we knew how to navigate the city. The fact they had FREE internet was also a huge bonus. We were able to confirm last minute tour details etc. Our family was placed in two rooms in the "main floor" of the B&B and then we were also given an entire apartment on a floor above. The apartment was ideal for gathering a large family as it had a kitchen, washing machine, family/living room etc. Several rooms in the "main floor" had to share a common bathroom but they also had a kitchen stocked with snacks and drinks. Thank goodness we have a separate apartment so that our kids didn't bother the other adults in the B&B. The bedrooms near the Gran Via were a little noisy due to traffic but to be able to find a place that could accommodate our whole family and within walking distance of everything was invaluable. I wish we could have stayed in Barcelona longer and would stay at Barcino 147 again! www.barcino147.com
