shore excursions Thomson Explorer baltic cruise Aug 2017

any tips, guidance on what shore excursions I should book through Thomsons and what ones I should arrange myself. I have never cruised before and I really want to get the most from it.

In St. Petersburg we booked our own 2 day excursion through SPB tours ( you will find them on the internet).

It was superb, cheaper than the cruise ship and great value for money. Our tour guide, Max was a school teacher in term time and sooo knowledgeable. Very full days but well worth it. Our party had about 23 people, cruise ship had 50!

Max knew all the short cuts for beating the queues

Thanks, I thought deciding on a which cruise was a hard decision but now I realise the excursions are going to take a lot of planning so all help is really appreciated

We are planning a two day St Petersburg trip with Alla tours. Similar offerings, but max of 16 per group. Also have a website and Facebook page. We are on the Treasures of the Baltic in July.
