Which ship did you do your 48 days South American Cruise with? What was the itinerary like? Were there a lot of sea days and if so, was there plenty to do without getting bored?

we did this cruise twice....One on the Mariner of the seas, and the 48 day one was on the Carnival Splendor. Both ships had the same Itinerary's. The ports were awesome, but we enjoyed the Mariner much more. Lots more to do, port lectures, and history of the countries. all of what was missing on Carnival. I do long cruise routinely, and bring lots of things to amuse myself. I read, bring my watercolors and paint, walk, and find lots of people to talk to. Sea days are a nice rest from the busyness of the ports, which can be exhausting!

Thank you Nursemom2 for getting back to me. I've heard that Royal Carribean were the better Cruise Line, a bit more upmarket. I will have a look at their itineraries.
