Corfu taxis

Hi

Can anyone recommend a taxi firm in Corfu please?

I kept a business card from last time in a safe place.....

So safe can't find it at all.:)

We just hailed a couple of taxis when we needed them (to go between the cruise terminal and town centre).

We were on a cruise in July, 2014 and got off the ship too late to rent a car. Taxi driver Filippos Paizanos adopted us. http://www.taxitourscorfu.com. For 80Euros, in his very clean Mercedes taxi, he took us to some of the most scenic places on the island for some photo ops. He then drove us to the beach where he left us for a few hours. He picked us up exactly where & when we asked him to. He then took us around the old town and fortresses. He was interesting to talk to and we got a glimpse of life on Corfu. I highly recommend him.

We used Spiros Kritikos services when were in Corfu last month and he was fantastic. We took a five hour spin around the island, going up to the mountains in the north for some panoramic views, crossing over to the western side and seeing Palaiokastritsa from on high and then driving through the town, crossing to the southeast to see the Achillion Palace and various sites on the eastern coast and then back up to the Old Town where he dropped us off. Spiros kept up a constant banter and pointed things out the little things on the island such as wild herbs and fresh figs. We had a great time with him. http://www.corfutaxitours.com

I booked ahead of time. There are generally plenty of taxis but I prefer to have everything planned in advance. The companies I've dealt with online don't require any deposit and you can discuss with them what to see and do before you get there.

We also used Corfu Taxi Tours last month. We booked in advance and Spiros met us at the pier. There was no advance deposit required. I highly recommend the company.

Vangelis (owner) said welcome to us before we start our trip. Taxi in perfect condition. He picked us up at the port in a lovely Mercedes car. He graciously shared his interesting knowledge about Corfu Island with his own unique sense of humour. His taxi was spotlessly clean and driving safe and controlled. Tours are flexible. We took the panoramic tour and ended at the beach for a swim and lunch at a cafe overlooking the beach. We had a great day. Easy to organise by email and found it a better alternative to shore excursions. Vangelis was very generous with his time and his knowledge, and offered us choices that suited our interests. We went where the tourist buses cannot go.

Excellent communication with Vranikas Vaggelis by e-mail ( Info@taxitourscorfu.com ) who himself arrived promptly for our tour.
