Advice please

Hi

We will be arriving in Barbados on new years eve and have read on somewhere on the boards about allocated dining times for freedom diners that evening. Can anyone confirm that new years eve is not formal due to arrivals and departures. I really don't fancy dressing up after a transatlantic flight, unpacking etc.

I am hoping that the formal celebration will be on 1st January

Can anyone shed some light

Thanks

Liz

New Year's Eve 2015 was formal, but our changeover day was Jan 1st.

It was a little awkward when everything had to be packed for the suitcases to be taken that night, but our steward told us that as long as the cases were out by midnight that was fine with him.

P&O relaxed the rules and said those disembarking on New Year's Day didn't have to wear formal attire even though it was a formal evening. I went to dinner in full glam, then changed into casual for the deck party so dress, high heels and jewellery were packed.

Maybe they will make the same allowances for those arriving on 31st.

Whatever happens you will have a fantastic time.
