asthma/allergies & Freeport/Nassau

Just got back from cruise on conquest and was helped so much by reading this board. One thing that I wasn't expecting was to have trouble with allergies/asthma. Usually, with exception of being around people bathing in perfume, my symptoms clear when on cruise, in Florida, etc. I knew I had read that Freeport was an industrial area but didn't realize to what extent. I started having problems with breathing early while in port but by time got to Radisson hotel, my symptoms improved ( used inhaler, too, on the ship)

In Nassau, I didn't have as much problems, but some. There was alot of traffic and some construction on way to junkanoo beach.

If have problems with environmental allergies/asthma, just be aware. Everybody responds differently so ymmv, of course :-)

Hello all, I wanted to ask for some advice. I am considering purchasing an air purifier but I have not found any information that shows they really work for allergies and asthma. I would love to hear from you on your own experiences, and any recommendations you can give to a newbie. I have been reading up on this topic and honestly I am extremely confused. Please help and maybe we can all learn together.

Jeff
