Carnival Elation to 11:10 a.m. flight?

NOLA cruising experts -- Should I worry about a 11:10 a.m. flight home after a cruise on the Elation? The airline changed our flight time and the only other option gets us home late at night. We will self-disembark and grab a taxi on a Monday morning. The last time I was on a small ship I was through customs by 7:45 a.m. I know delays can happen, but would you say our odds of making the flight are good? We do have checked bags because the airline charges more for carry-ons.

We have made it in plenty of time for a 9:45am flight with self disembark. I think you will be fine (as long as nothing goes wrong)

We did the self assist last Saturday (11/15). Our room was on deck 7. They started calling decks at 8:01 and called 7 & 11 at the same time. When we pulled out of the parking garage it was 8:16. This was our third time on the Elation in the last 2 years. All 3 times we have been out of the garage within an hour or so.

You should be fine. Your only risk is some type of weather or other significant issue that causes it to be late, but that is pretty rare.

You will be fine. We drag our feet and have a leisurely breakfast every time and are usually home by 9:00. You will easily make an 11 am flight.

Thanks for the reassurance. As long as the odds are good that we'll make it, I can relax. After all, the important thing is making it to the port on time, and we'll be flying in a day early. :)
