what to do in Provence and Cannes

In Marseille, you could visit the Notre Dame de la Garde, Palais Longchamps, the Old Port and "the end of the world". Or, take a tour up to Aix en Provence. In Cannes, I would visit Monaco, Monte Carlo and Eze. I was not a big fan of Cannes as I thought it was mostly high end shops. Beaches were nice though.

In Cannes also take a look at St Paul de Vince - we enjoyed it much more tan Eze - but that's just my thoughts. St Paul's a fabulous medieval village that's now an artists community. Two years ago we went there from Nice on a public bus for 1euro pp each way - and we passed through Cannes on the way. Had lunch in a same bistro in town - there are a few places to eat - bought some fabulous olive oil and took photos of the town & cemetery.
