Tours at Puerto Limon terminal

Has any one ever not booked a tour ahead of time in Puerto Limon, just taken a tour with the vendors set up at the terminal? Did the tour guides speak english well? Was the cost similar or less than ships tours? We have booked a tour with Princess, but I was just wondering if a tour at the terminal is an option.

Some people in my roll call were not at all happy with their private tours booked in Puerto Limon. I booked with Celebrity and it was excellent and very professional.
