Has anyone ever seen Blackjack Switch on their cruise?

We came across it in Las Vegas for the first time last week. It seems to cut down on the casino's edge just a little bit so I imagine we won't be seeing it on any cruiselines.

I had never heard of this game until you mentioned it so I looked it up. It is slightly more favorable to the player if the house stands on a soft 17 (as currently on cruise ships). However, that assumes the player adopts a perfect basic strategy, and the basic strategy (especially when to switch and when not to switch) is a lot more complicated. Bottom line is that you have to learn a lot more situations in order to gain a minutely better advantage over standard blackjack, and I doubt many people want to invest the time and effort.

As a practical matter, the "gimmick" 21 games that the ships already offer, Fun 21 and Dealer face up" very seldom get any action on cruises as it is. My guess is that most people don't like gimmicks (especially if they wind up not winning hands they would have at the traditional game). There's little reason for the cruise ships to give up one of their few remaining blackjack tables for a game almost nobody will play.
